Welcome, new students!
Please use the links on your left for information about when to move in, how to get to your building, what to bring (and what to leave behind), which Service Center you'll be using, and what community rules and standards you should be aware of.
In order to ensure a safe and efficient move-in experience, new students will be assigned a move-in appointment (date and time) during one of the following days:
Friday, August 23, 2019; 8am-5pm
Saturday, August 24, 2019; 7am-1pm
Students will be notified of their individually assigned move-in date and timeslot once housing assignments are released in mid-June. Adhering to your assigned timeslot will allow us to provide the best possible move-in experience. All new students are welcome to participate in programs that take place on Friday, and the University-wide Orientation will begin with New Student Convocation at 2pm on Saturday.

Cornell's undergraduate residences open for the Fall 2019 semester on Friday, August 23 and Saturday, August 24. Please be aware that those first two days of Opening Weekend will be extremely crowded with new student move-in, some areas of campus may have restricted access. You can move in anytime prior to the start of classes.
You may move in to your residence beginning on the first day of your housing contract occupancy period. Learn more at Move-In Information: New Graduate & Professional Students.
If you'd like to ship your belongings ahead of move-in, Cornell's preferred vendor is Big Red Shipping & Storage, a student-run agency that will have your items waiting in your room when you arrive, as long as they receive your packages by August 19.
