Congratulations to Chef Steven Miller of Cornell Dining! Our Senior Executive Chef was selected this summer as the Grand Prize Winner in the Hormel Foodservice “Great Sandwich Challenge” for his entry of Turkey Milano on Focaccia. For a limited time, you’ll be able to try his prizewinning sandwich on campus.
A panel of judges described the dish as being “the most trendsetting, inspiring, and spectacularly delicious” in the Globally Inspired Category. This award aligns with Chef Miler’s personal philosophy about food, which is to “look at food in its simplest manner and find unique ways to display it.”
As the Grand Prize Winner, his sandwich idea will be professionally photographed, printed, and framed.
The Turkey Milano, available for a limited time at Martha’s and Goldie’s for just $6.95, features freshly sliced roast turkey, roasted roma tomato, prosciutto, baby arugula, mozzarella cheese, and white balsamic shallot aioli on rosemary focaccia.
