Summer Housing

Summer 2019


Cornell Conference & Event Services provides convenient on-campus housing for undergraduate and graduate/professional students participating in Summer Sessions, or conducting faculty-sponsored research during the summer months.

Undergraduate Students:

Accommodations:

Undergraduate students will stay in Cascadilla Hall or Sheldon Court in the Collegetown area. Students requesting a double room may request a specific roommate. Live-in residential staff members are available to support students throughout their stay. Men and women will have separate bathroom facilities. A set of bed sheets, pillow and pillowcase, blanket, and two towels are provided. Self-service laundry facilities are located in the building. Common areas (lounges, bathrooms) are cleaned daily. Bedrooms are not air conditioned; a box fan is recommended.

Rates and Date Ranges:

Undergraduate summer housing rates are $41.50 per person, per night for a single, and $32.50 per person, per night for a shared double, plus a one-time non-refundable $36 registration fee.

When you apply for summer housing, you will have the opportunity to request a date range for your stay. Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Check-in begins at 2:00pm and check-out is by 10:00am on the date of departure. Additional charges may apply for approved early check-in and late check-out. Please note: You may only check in ONE DAY before your program begins. You must check out ONE Day after your program has ended. All program participants must move out by 10:00am on Saturday, August 10, 2019

Housing fees are refundable only if you officially withdraw through the Summer Session office. Refund requests must be submitted by email to the Office of Conference & Event Services (summersessionhsg@cornell.edu). All refunds are prorated and are assessed a $100 processing fee.

Note: Your housing contract is binding and you agree to the summer housing terms and conditions at the time you submit your housing application.

Summer dining options: Cornell Dining offers convenient meal plan options for students living on campus for the summer. Information will be available at Summer Meal Plans.

Graduate/Professional Students:

Accommodations:

Graduate students will stay in 112 Edgemoor, located in the heart of Cornell's vibrant Collegetown area. Single rooms are arranged along a corridor; floors are mixed gender, with lounges, study areas, a kitchen, and self-service, coin-operated laundry facilities in the building. Bedrooms contain an extra-long twin bed (36"x 80"), a closet and a bureau (or wardrobe-bureau combination), a desk with desk chair, a desk lamp, and a wastebasket. Rooms have wireless internet access.

Common areas (lounges and bathrooms) receive daily cleaning. Bedrooms are not air conditioned; a box fan is recommended.  

Students are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
