Mews Hall is the one of the newest residential buildings on campus, positioned next to the equally new and richly equipped Appel Commons community center.
Residents of Mews can expect a wide range of programming from the community's Resident Advisor staff that is intended to make your first year experience at Cornell a memorable one. Traditional programs include a trip to the United Nations, a male talent show, a first-year ice skating night, the Mews Fall and Spring BBQs, and weekly study breaks.
Mews Hall rooms have system controlled air circulation.
Lori Leonard, Professor in the Department of Development Sociology, is the Faculty-in-Residence for Mews Hall. She lives in an apartment in the building with her partner, Siba N’Zatioula Grovogui, Faculty Fellow in Residence and Professor in Africana Studies, and regularly spends time with student residents of the Mews community.
Mews also has a number of Faculty and Community Fellows that provide students with opportunities to explore and cultivate their academic, intellectual, and cultural interests. You will find them attending events in your building, eating with students in the dining room, and leading on and off campus trips to lectures, plays, films, concerts, and regional points of interest.
