Here at Cornell Dining, we know that our success in everything we do, including all of the awards and accolades that we're so fond of talking about, can be traced to the efforts of our dedicated staff, who come to work every day ready to feed the Cornell community. Many of our staff have been with us for years.
This fall, we took the opportunity to recognize the remarkable group, dozens strong, that have been with Cornell Dining for longer than twenty years! These staff members include cooks, dish machine operators, bakers, material handlers, and other food service workers in our kitchens, cafés, and dining rooms.
Many of these long-term staff are right out in front of our eateries, interacting with and serving our students, staff, and faculty all day long, and many more work tirelessly behind the scenes, preparing the food that's available all over campus.
Patricia A. Wynn, executive director of Campus Life Enterprise Services and interim director of Cornell Dining as we wrap up a search for our new director, admits, "I've been here just a short time compared to some of our wonderful teammates. Since Cornell Dining came under my purview just over two years ago, I've been impressed every single day at the dedication we see from each and every member of this team."
Pat and the Cornell Dining senior management team held a recognition ceremony last month to congratulate the over 40 members of Cornell Dining's staff that have been serving for over 20 years, including six people with more than 30 years of seniority. Carol Curkendall tops the list with 38 years of service. She's an S02 food service worker at North Star Dining Room. Here's the complete list:
