Get an advance look at Cornell's Housing Master Plan at two open forums

23 September 2016

Last semester, the Division of Student and Campus Life engaged with the Cornell and local communities on how best to meet the university’s current and future housing needs for undergraduate and graduate students. This month,  in preparation for his October presentation to the Board of Trustees, Vice President Ryan Lombardi invites you to attend an open forum to learn about the Housing Master Plan.

Mews Hall at SunsetBecause housing is such an important part of the student experience, student and community input has been vital to creating a viable plan. The process in the spring included focus groups that took part in a Housing Master Plan exercise, as described in an article last winter in the Cornell Chronicle. This input, along with an inventory and analysis of current housing, was used to develop a Cornell Housing Master Plan for the next decade.

Two open forums are scheduled, where you can provide input on the plan. Feedback from these open forum sessions will be incorporated into the Plan as it is presented to the Board in October.

The open forum sessions are:

  • Wednesday, September 28 at 12 noon in 105 Ives Hall
  • Wednesday, September 28 at 4:30pm in Lewis Auditorium, Goldwin Smith Hall.
Please join us and share your ideas on this very important issue for our community and planning for the future.
