Share your ideas to help reduce food waste

We've gotten better and better at reducing the amount of food wasted in our dining rooms, but there's still a long way to go. Do you have a message that can help?

food waste posterCornell Dining is working with our Student Sustainability Coordinators to promote a poster contest. All students are welcome to submit their poster ideas that contain a convincing message to reduce personal food waste on campus!

Send in your idea and you could see it displayed in Cornell's dining halls, and win a stainless steel mug. Submit your idea until March 20th. Winners will be announced on March 27th.

Send your poster in JPEG format. The final posters will be printed at 24x36 inches, 3,600 pixels by 5,400 pixels. Send with "Poster Submission" and your name in the subject line to Gelila Alemayehu ( You can send questions to the same address.
